Zelensky thanks Poland for supporting Ukraine
“Andrzej has stood with Ukraine since the first days of the war – always side by side, a reliable ally and a true friend,” Zelenskyy said, emphasizing the enduring bond between the two neighboring nations.
The leaders focused on regional security challenges, NATO coordination, and upcoming decisions at the European Union level. Zelenskyy noted that both countries are actively working to implement significant defense agreements and expressed optimism that tangible progress would be seen within the next six months.
“I thank Andrzej personally and the people of Poland for their support, for the substantial defense assistance, and for the joint decisions made in the name of our freedom and yours,” Zelenskyy stated.
Duda, who is nearing the end of his second and final term due to constitutional limits, is set to be replaced by Karol Nawrocki on August 6, following Nawrocki’s recent win in Poland’s presidential election.
